From 1850 through Prohibition, Louisville's Whiskey Row was the trading center for the spirits distilled across Kentucky and the young nation.

The whiskey was created by industry veteran Steve Thompson at Kentucky Artisan Distillery — home of Jefferson's Ocean — built around blending and extra-maturing diverse mash bills to echo a 19th-century style.

Now owned by Avalon Spirits, it was relaunched in 2025 as a focused super-premium trio, each expression reaching for the flavor of an era of greater experimentation in aging.
